The Inclusive Education Summit brings together two established professional learning events. The Inclusive Education Expo and the Autism Inclusion Teacher Conference are combining and will focus on strengthening inclusive practice across South Australian education settings.
Established in 2004, the Inclusive Education Expo (formerly the Special Education Expo) has provided educators, support staff, and allied health professionals with opportunities to build knowledge, share practice, and explore evidence informed strategies that support learners with diverse needs.
More recently, the Autism Inclusion Teacher (AIT) Conference, established in 2023, has enhanced inclusive teaching practice by building the confidence, knowledge, and collaboration of Autism Inclusion Teachers across the state.
Held during the July school holidays, the Summit will showcase high-quality, evidence-informed inclusive and innovative practices. The event is designed for educators (teachers, SSO/ECWs, leaders), support services staff, school services officers, early childhood professionals.
