SUMMARY:Inclusive Technology & Learning: Access & Engagement for All
DESCRIPTION:This workshop will explore a range of inclusive technologies that assist students who struggle with comprehending meaningful text and to support them at various stages of the reading and writing process. Participants will learn how a Universal Design for Learning (UDL) approach can provide equitable access for all learners and how educators can embed this in their practice. An extensive range of inclusive technology tools will be explored during the day including the built-in accessibility features of computers and mobile devices\, robust universal design software\, apps and free online literacy support tools. \nInformation regarding accessing the Inclusive Technology Service\, and its role in supporting sites to implement these technologies will also be included. SUMMARY:Increasing Learning Opportunities for all Students: hands-on iPad workshop
DESCRIPTION:In this hands-on workshop we will explore cutting edge new tools and strategies to make teaching easier while increasing the learning opportunities for all students\, including AAC users. These tools and strategies are designed to help you deliver grade-level lessons while effectively supporting students with complex\nlearning support needs. \nSuitable for Site leaders and educators\, Speech Pathologists\, AAC coaches who work with children and young people with functional barriers in communication. We encourage up to 3 people to attend (including a leader) from the same site to support collaborative learning and sustainable practice. \nMorning and afternoon session available. \nRegister  here
