SERU is pleased to announce the upcoming professional development presented by David Niemeijer, CEO and founder of AssistiveWare, at The Lakes Hotel.  David will be introducing the new Proloquo and Proloquo Coach apps; the next generation of augmentative and alternative communication (AAC).

Proloquo offers a simple, efficient AAC solution designed to scaffold families and professionals in effective AAC implementation.  It includes a new cutting-edge vocabulary called Crescendo Evolution™ based on the latest research insights and anonymous language use data from tens of thousands of AAC users.  Proloquo Coach is an AAC best-practice coach that supports communication partners to implement AAC and reduces the risk of device abandonment.  After 3 years of research and development, we are excited to share the ideas behind this new service in this session.  We will also demo the new apps and explain their unique features.

The session is for department educators and speech pathologists, supporting students with diverse communication needs.

Following the hour and a half presentation will be an optional 30 minute hands-on session for participants who have downloaded Proloquo and Proloquo Coach and started the 1-month trial or obtained our free 1-year evaluation license for SLPs and AAC experts (https://www.assistiveware.com/proloquo-evaluation-license-request-form).  Please allow adequate time to obtain the evaluation licence as the process can take up to a week.
